Summer Camp FAQ & Information
What is the supervision like?
Our Excel Coaching Staff works with the high school and local coaches to provide nonstop supervision. Our wrestlers are always under the guidance of a coach during our camps. In 20 years of Excel Wrestling camps, we have rarely had an issue with misbehavior or poor decision making from our campers. We like it that the young men and women who attend Excel Wrestling Camps are serious, committed wrestlers who care about their future and have respect for their teammates and coaches.
Workout gear, bedding, towels?
We strongly encourage our summer wrestlers to bring plenty of workout gear, enough that you can make it through the entire camp without doing laundry. We also encourage our resident campers to do laundry while they’re at camp and we do provide these facilities. It never hurts to have your own pillow and an extra blanket, especially in Estes as it can get chilly at night. Bring a clean towel for each day of camp.
Extra things that you might want to bring?
It never hurts to bring your own fruit, energy bars, gatorade, extra. You can also purchase these items at camp.
For commuters: Enough food to last you throughout the day. Commuters may leave between sessions.
For residents, Bring a few things to keep you busy during the downtime. There isn’t a lot but when there is, it might not be a bad idea to have a good book to read, We also encourage you to have adequate spending money.
