Excel Wrestling is a Christian led 501C3 organization, founded and developed in 1994 by Coach Steve Knight. EXCEL Wrestling 's USAW Junior Olympic Program training sites run throughout the school year in Colorado , Wyoming, Iowa, and Wisconsin.
Steve Knight, Executive Director of Excel Wrestling has an outstanding coaching staff along side him. Rory O'Farrell in Wyoming, Mike McArthur in Colorado, Tommy Clum in Wisconsin and Eric Voelker in Iowa. These men work hard to maintain the operations of Excel Wrestling throughout the school year and in the summer months for the Excel Camp Series.
The Team Excel Junior Olympic Program staff want s to see their athletes succeed in the sport of wrestling and in life. By providing exceptional coaching and godly role models, Team EXCEL coaches strive to build strong character and the work ethic of a champion in every Team EXCEL wrestler on and off the mat. The EXCEL "mission" is to give committed wrestlers of all ages the opportunity to excel. We encourage and believe it takes a "year round" commitment to become a state champion and go on to the college level.
